Arrival by Car :

After the M5 and A38 to Plymouth, Cawsand can be reached either by crossing the Torpoint Ferry or by crossing the Tamar Bridge. You can only stop outside the cottage to unload for 5 minutes approx. so pack your vehicle so that unloading is smooth ! Then take the car(s) to the Car Park behind the Halfway House Pub (2 minutes walk). Charges are £3 per day. If staying 3 days or more get a pass card (additional £10 deposit returnable). There is also a  Public Car Park within 5 minutes walk from the cottage.

Arrival by Train :

Plymouth is the nearest main line station. A taxi all the way to Tarkwa from Plymouth Station costs £25 - £30. It is cheaper to take a taxi to the Cremyll ferry to be met the other side by pre-arranged taxi. Cremyll Cabs Tel : 01752 - 822196. Geralds Cabs Tel : 01752 - 823703. There is also a  bus to Cawsand. In the summer months taxi to the Barbican steps and use the Cawsand ferry - romantic arrival on the beach. Walk up the street to the cottage.
